The actress was guest on Friends which is a popular American comedy series. Emmy Award was won for the character she played. Her role also garnered her nominations to the Golden Globe and Tony Award. Applegate was in a variety of films as well. In films such as Grand Theft Parsons (1996) and Vacations (1998), she was the lead character. The most recent projects she has done in the screen have included her principal part in the comedy film Crash Pad and a cameo role in the film A Bad Moms Christmas. In addition, she's involved with several charitable organisations. She has promoted awareness of breast cancer since quite some time since she was a breast cancer survivors.
